Busy month!!

Hey Everyone,

So its been a busy few weeks for Teatro!!!! Now that we have a moment to take a breath we wanted to let our friends here know what’s been going on; >
O.K. so first things first.
Stephen has just finished filming an indie film that will be released in the near future which we are all pumped about seeing!!! We will let you all know the release date as soon as we know. So keep checking back! He also may be staring in a play come Oct. So again check back we will keep you posted.
Simon premiered in one of the most if not the most popular musical of all time, Phantom of the Opera, in the part of Raul. Family and friends were on hand to mark the event. It was so fantastic to see him in a role that truthfully was tailor made for him. He was a stand out in a cast full of incredible talent. I can personally say this seeing as I have seen the show 5 times smile But in whole hearted honesty, he was fantastic in the show. He combined his unique rock vocal sound and masculine demeanor to make the character of Raul more than just the handsome love interest but a three dimensional character with passion and intensity. Coming from a theater lover, as soon as you have a chance, come to Her Majesty’s Theater and see him in this role. It truly is not to be missed. wink
Andrew has been busy working on Teatro material for our upcoming concerts. Different ways of presenting our songs in concert!!!! tongue wink Maybe playing some instruments etc. So you may see something different come the next concert!! wink
Jeremiah (me.) has been busy pulling double duty with rehearsals for CAROUSEL and concerts with the guys. Now in less than a week, CAROUSEL will be opening at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley. Now as you see me in person, I do look a bit different due to my long hair and large mutton chop sideburns. tongue laugh But i promise it is me just the same. If you come to the show please stop and say hello after grin
Now as you may know Teatro as a group has been all over the place the last month. After releasing in SA, we have been busy doing interviews for their local press. So once again thank you in South Africa for all your support and hopefully soon you will be seeing us performing there live wink
On top of that we have been doing a string of concerts. Just recently we were flown to Venice, Italy to do a private concert, then flew back and had the unbelievable honor of performing in front of 40,000 people at Proms in the Park. Then from there we were off to Belgium to launch the current album live in front of 25,000 people at the STARS of EUROPE concert for Unicef which was broadcast to 15 countries across Europe. cheese So thank you soo much to folks in Belgium for having us!!! We look forward to coming back, and seeing you all again soon! grin
We also want to thank Oliver Thornton for once again stepping in for myself and Simon when we were unavailable due to our show commitments at different times throughout the month. Oliver is not only a fantastic and dynamic performer but also a dear friend who we all consider to be the 5th member of Teatro. Don’t miss the opportunely to see him STAR alongside Jason Donavon in the new West End production of Priscilla Queen of the Dessert The Musical. (http://www.priscillathemusical.com)
So there we are. Once again thank you soooo much to all our fans for their continued support. We hope to see you all soon. And remember new things are coming soon! So keep checking back!!!
Best Wishes to you all.

Update!

Hey there Everybody!!

Just wanted to drop a line and give you guys an update as to what we have been up to! Since our last blog, we have performed for the son of the President of Egypt in Sharm El Sheikh. We also performed as special guests of the Prime Minister of Vietnam here in London and have since been invited back to Vietnam for another concert (once again performing for the Prime Minister).  cheese
We recently did a Mother’s Day special for GMTV and had the opportunity to surprise Britain’s best mum. It was amazing. This women had fostered an amazing amount of children over the years, many with special needs. So to have the chance to come and sing for her and her family was an absolute honor!!
A few weeks earlier as you know we performed once again on the Alan Titchmach Show (which we told you on the last blog, but we didn’t give all the details).  wink It was great to be back, and I have to say we had an absolute blast! We love performing on his show. They always treat us so well there. At the end of our performance, we were presented with our Gold Records which was a great surprise. So when the site gets updated with that clip, you’ll see that we are completely surprised and had no idea!! Good fun tongue wink Though after the show, we celebrated the occasion with a bit of champagne which was not the best idea for me since I hadn’t eaten anything that day!! tongue rolleye I fell asleep as soon as I got home.
The other night we had the pleasure of attending the opening night of the musical Jersey Boys on the West End. It’s the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons (you all know the songs......Walk Like a Man, Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry, etc).  It truthfully is one of the best shows I have personally seen in the past ten years (next is Billy Elliot)!  The show has been sold out on Broadway since it opened and currently has 6 productions running around the world to sold out crowds. I highly recommend the show to everyone. You will walk out singing the songs....... Also the cast is fantastic. I really can’t say enough about it!
Past that point, we are just in the middle of rehearsing some new songs grin (which you will hear about soon) not to mention some other cool news to come. So check back again in a few weeks. wink
As always, we hope that you are all well and want to again thank you for all your support!
Best Wishes

Hey Everyone

Hey Everyone,

Jeremiah (writing but with everyone looking over my shoulder smile ) here. Today we performed on the Alan Titchmarsh show, and afterward we were in our dressing room and had a chat about the tour and, of course, all our fans here on the forum........
First and for most we wanted to say thank you to everyone who have been constant supporters of ours, and also to apologize that you haven’t heard from us directly on the issue of this UK tour. It’s because of your support that we have gotten to the point that we have......(i.e. a gold record, etc). Please know that has not been forgotten, and never will be......... smile
Truthfully you haven’t heard from us because we ourselves didn’t know what was happening. No one is more bummed out than us that this tour has been put aside. We had grand plans and were looking forward to not only singing songs from our album but also many of our personal favorites.
Those of you who have bought tickets for the tour and are planning on keeping them for future dates...... Please return them for a refund downer  ....... we as a group spoke about it today, and though there is talk out there of new dates being added...... WE just aren’t sure if, and or when that will be. So we as a group wanted to make sure that those of you who have taken the time to purchase tickets don’t lose your money.  wink Again we are so sorry to all if you have been put out by this goofy situation. Thank you all again for being so supportive and understanding smile
As for an update..... The past few weeks have been crazy. We have done a ton of charity galas, and performed 2 weeks ago on “This Morning” and again today on the “AT” show (which was the 2nd time we performed there!!). Both were great fun getting a chance to again perform one of our favorite songs from the album, “Luck Be A Lady”...... As you will all see once the new videos get uploaded (and yes we have been told that the website will be updated soon!!!!  tongue wink) And Stephen and Andrew’s bit during “LBAL” today was hooolarious......... Andrew got down on one knee and started to give Stephen a shoe shine for which Stephen promptly paid him a pound hahahahaha (this was all during the music break) Simon and myself were dying hahahahahahaha...... Other than that we are in talks about a new tour in Malaysia where Stephen has a very big following (not just his mother by the way tongue wink ) and several different one off performances in the next few months. One being in Egypt which I myself am very excited about because it has been a life long dream of mine to see the pyramids........ So thats all for now..... but more to come soon.
We hope that all of you are well, and we are wishing you the best!

The guys..... cheese

Im typing from my hotel room in Dubai with a great view of the persian gulf on my right (I have a rather strange elephant shaped lamp, which has no trunk, or eyes, illuminating beside me and helping me to type. perhaps it is a guinea pig). We’ve been here for quite a few days and although the weather hasn’t been great I have still managed to get (being English - where we rarely see the sun) a not completely flattering red face. No doubt it will all peel off soon, so that should be fun.

Yes it is Steve’s birthday so Happy Birthday Steve! from the other three who have failed every friendship test by not getting you a present. However our hotel has no shops nearby and the shop in our hotel only stocks miniature gold camels… we’ll get you something at the airport.

we are performing at the Burj Al Arab tonight, the world’s only ‘7 star’ hotel (it has a tennis court on its helipad, 1000 feet in the air), so we are all getting ready to leave, have dinner there, then perform.

We are all really excited about the upcoming tour and to meeting those of you that can make it. Performing in live theatre is where we have all come from and connecting with an audience is really what it’s all about.

bye for now, much love

Andrew x

Happy New Year!! cheese

Hey everyone! Just wanted to take a moment and say Happy New Year to all of our fans and friends!
2007 has been an amazing year for us. We all feel very fortunate to be a part of this incredible journey that is Teatro. This past year for us has been filled with amazing excitement, nervous anticipation, and the thrill of a new adventure.
You never know stepping into any new venture what lies ahead. But with the support each and everyone of you has shown, our excitement continues to grow, and we look forward to what 2008 has in store for us.
So we hope that this New Year brings each and everyone of you success and happiness.

Best wishes on the New Year
Jeremiah

PS An Update! tongue wink

We brought in the New Year with a bang by performing on the BBC 1 New years count down! It was an absolute blast. Though I was getting over a nasty cold it was great just being back performing with the guys. Andrew who had all but lost his voice after a nasty bought with the flu, showed his resolve as performer. He stepped up by saving just enough voice for our performance that evening (Most performers would have used a backing tracks.)and pushed through. We ran in into a very similar situation a few weeks back while we were performing a radio tour. Simon had a bought with a chest infection. Because of the continuos hard coughing he had almost completely lost his voice as well. Once again I was very impressed with resolve one of my compatriots. Though he was very ill he traveled for over six hours in a car and performed two concerts!! What can I say I work with rock stars!!! cool smile
So we all had a week to go home and be with our families for Christmas which was wonderful. My wife and myself flew home to the US and surprised our family.... (They were not planning on seeing us until the spring!!!!!) The look on their faces was priceless. snake (We just showed up at the front door) Andrew, Simon and Stephen went home to their families as well, and just like myself all ate until we could’nt stand up. tongue wink We hope all of you had wonderful christmases as well..... As for the coming new year.... We have a tour planned for May, and are are going to continue to promote our new album!! So thats it for now..... More to come soon!! grin

Festive greetings!

Long time no blog. Well, apologies for this but we have been rather busy since the Royal Variety. We met Cliff Richard (do our german friends know who he is?), sang at a charity dinner of his and were subsequently booked by a business Magnate for a performance on his ‘Super-Yacht’ next year. At the Whatsonstage awards we sang luck be a lady and said hello to Michael ball again and Elaine Page (whose BBC Radio 2 show we pre-recorded and is broadcast on Sunday the 23rd); Friday night was Teatro night- also singing was Paul Potts who we had shared a dressing room with at the Royal Variety. Incidentally we also shared a dressing room with Piano Wizard Lang Lang that night - very nice guy, he gave me a high five at the end of the Let it Be finale onstage. This moment of comradery was cruelly cut in the TV edit it seems as I can’t see it anywhere. Thinking about writing to Wogan on ‘points of view’ to complain.

what else? Radio shows. Ken Bruce’s Celebrity pop quiz was probably the most fun i’ve ever had. ever. For this the irrevocable bond of Teatro was challenged. Split into two camps, this was being billed as the fight of the century but to be blunt the competition was over before it begun. firstly- the childhood mates, the 12 year friendship, the ‘untouchables’ and heavy favourites:  Andrew/Simon:  Vs. The challengers and clear underdogs: Jeremiah/Stephen. As those who have listened to it will know - it became embarrasing. It was an absolute mauling. 33-19. Even I was surprised how weak the competition was. I just felt glad that because Jeremiah’s family are in America they wouldnt have been able to tune in and witness his demise live on air to an audience of about 6 million listeners.

We performed at the OK Christmas Party; sipped Tea at the Savoy hotel with two lovely ladies who had won the daily mail competition to meet Teatro; sang on the Wright Stuff; went on Alan Carr’s Christmas Day radio 2 show; performed alongside Katie Melua at the Nordoff-Robbins Carol Service in Chelsea woth readings by Sienna Miller, Bill Nighy and Dame Eileen Atkins; strode the red carpet to the I am Legend (Will Smith) Premiere; crooned Winter Wonderland on the ONE show on BBC 1 and the list goes on…

anyway must stop writing now. I doubt anyone has got this far and is still reading but have a very merry christmas all of you. look out for us on New Year’s Eve on BBC 1 for the live countdown where we will be performing Luck be a Lady.

Thank you to our record company Sony BMG and our management

but most importantly thank you, fans and friends of Teatro, for investing your time, energy and thoughts into us. All of us really do appreciate it and we can’t wait to meet you next year when we finalise our tour!

Merry Christmas
Andrew x

Hi All

Well....where to start? It has been busy busy busy. We’ve released the album (finally) and had to do a lot of promo. Very early mornings.....not like being in a show on the west end, where you don’t have to get up ‘til midday (well I did anyway).
We’re having a great time.....although a bit more sleep would be good for all 4 of us.

We met the QUEEN! It was an absolute thrill doing the Royal Variety Performance, with such massive stars in the line up, like Jon Bon Jovi, Seal, James Blunt, Enrique, Katherine Jenkins & Darcy Bussell, Joan Rivers, Russell Brand, Alan Murray to name only a few.
I think we were all a little star struck but hugely inspired to be in such distinguished and mega talented company. I felt really proud to be there and to be with Jeremiah, Simon and Andrew. We arrived in Liverpool on Saturday and went straight to the Empire for a rehearsal (each act had 45 mins on stage) It was amazing to be on stage again, in a proper theatre......where we belong ,after spending so much time in the studio. We’ve just started using our “In Ears” which kind of cuts you off from the world a little but you get to hear exactly what you want in your head phones.......ie Yourself- really loud and the other 3 guys slightly lower. It was wonderful singing with a live orchestra (Andrew knew the Conductor/MD, really well, so we were in safe hands).
We then had Sunday off........Andrew and myself are Liverpool FC supporters and had to resist going to Anfield to watch the 4-0 thrashing of Bolton.........we would have lost our voices from all the screaming....not a good move seeing as we were singing for Lizzie the next day.
Sunday came and we all absolutely loved it! We had a full dress run with all the lights and smoke and it went very well. It was cool sharing a dressing room with Paul Potts, David Jordan and Lang Lang.
When we got to the show, I think everyone was pretty comfortable......so it was just a case of going out there and enjoying the occasion ; actually I was surprised how calm and cool we all were.
At the end of the show, the whole cast got to sing “Let it be” with Bon Jovi and we had the privilege to be handed Mic’s(think it was just us and Seal who were given them....oh and maybe James Blunt). Then it was the line up and we met Her Majesty! What an honour!......actually I’ve met her a couple o’ times already.....(old friends).....so… she was shaking everyone’s hand and then she saw me and of course had to stop for a chat......that’s when the QUEEN invited ME for christmas dinner up at Balmoral (qurlies!) I told her I had a lot on and would be in touch nearer the time........didn’t want to give the wrong signals, you know.
There was a great party after and another one after that....Andrew and Simon couldn’t get in and I asked James Blunt if he could have a word with the doorman. The bouncer wasn’t having any of it so James apologised and went back in.......I had to give the doorman a signed copy of the album for his mum....that did the trick
Now we are back in London and preparing for lot’s of TV, Radio and live stuff before a well earned xmas break.

Hope you are all well and eating lots and lots of mince pies.

Tune in on Sunday at 8pm and why not tell us how you felt we did. Thank you for your continuing support and hope very much to catch up soon.
Lots of love Stephen.

Hard Rock Gig!

Hey there everyone!

So tonight we had our gig at Hard Rock London! We had a great time and were well taken care of! It was such a huge honor to be asked to perform for such a great charity event! Its called Global Angels. They are an organization who want to better the lives of impoverished children all over the world. It was wonderful to be apart of this amazing event !
The show went well even though we had a some sound issues that made it very difficult. But we powered through and felt good by the end of our set. Hope some of you were able to make it! If not we will be performing I Dreamed a Dream ( yes only one song tongue rolleye ) at the Pigalle Club (LONDON) thursday night at 8:30. Which we also will be performing at the Royal Variety in a week or so!So here is a chance to see it live! wink Hope to see some of you there!
Also we just finished laying down our first Christmas track O Holy Night! It was great fun. Always great being back working with our producer Nick Patrick. Himself and his family always take such great care of us when we come up to his studio. Its always a pleasure. We have a great time there. In fact we will be heading back there this friday to work on one more Christmas track! I won’t tell you what it is just yet......... One of us will drop a blog while we are working on it in the studio and let you know!!! tongue winkSo check back Fri! Nicks wife by the way is an amazing cook which is another reason we love heading up there! cheese
So I guess that brings us up to date....... If anything else comes up you all will be the first to know about it! Hope all of you out there are well and thank you again for checking in with us.
Best
