Hi

Just sent a PM to other forum member, but initially clicked on e-mail by mistake.  Came up with message saying that I’m not allowed to use the e-mail console - just wondered what this meant.

Oh also, if I receive a PM how do I know - does a message come up on screen to tell me.  Apologies but on another forum I belong to you get a message at the top of the screen to let you know so wondered if it was similar here.

Hi Salsa Sandra,

You should get an email saying you’ve got a PM.
Then go to your control panel and click on the + sign next to Private Messages on the right hand panel. This will open the window and you’ll see if you have any in your Inbox.
I guess the reat is easy???

But happy to help if not.

Sandra, I got your PM, so it worked. wink The email-thing doesn’t work for me either. The PM thing is the only thing I don’t really like on this forum. I often forgot to check my Inbox. And you also can’t see, if the other person picked up your PM. I sent a PM last week to someone and I’m not sure if he got it or not. I mixed up my message board and it might be that I didn’t send it - or that I sent it twice. LOL

I’m not sure. But I guess it was intended originally to use the email tab. But it’s redundant. You don’t need to use it. Just click on PM

Can’t understand where i went wrong, to some girls joethedad says “happy to help” and when i ask a perfectly reasonable question about my username, he calls me a real thicko (sent it PM of course, so no one would know) He then sent a 36 step formula for changing my username.
Thanks to Sim, i did it in 3 quick clicks.
Hope to have my CDs by the week-end (have had them sent to Switzerland for myself and other excited females...........!!!)

P.S. he’s not that bad Joethedad, looks an incy bit like Andrew........

Dear All,

Do not under any circumstances listen or take notice of anything Swiss miss says. the mountain air, the cuckoo clocks and the fondue have addled her brain. (Well what little brain she has)

She never asked me anything about changing her user name. Only about how to find and write PM’s.

So there!

You have been warned!!!!

I feel hurt. The Black Forrest, where I live, is known for its cuckoo clocks. LOL

The Schwarzwald clocks have a completely different sound from the Swiss. Even the Swiss clocks on their own are fine. But when combined with fondue the effect can be lethal.
Melly, I think you have also listened to swiss cuckoo clocks and have eaten fondue.
Yes? No?

I only have listened to my Granddad’s Black Forrest cuckoo clock and had my last fondue years ago. Did you get the pic I sent you?
